Sometimes that truth can be painful though.
My Finnish tutor Maarit related to me a conversation she had recently with her daughter Ester, who is almost 4 years old.
The conversation went something like this:
|Maarit:||So Ester, what would you like to do when you grow up?|
|Ester:||I would like to be a teacher.|
|Maarit:||And what would you like to teach?|
And the sad fact is that, with my slow progress in Finnish, it’s totally plausible that in 20 years’ time I will still need a tutor!
